Conversational Chinese I |

Ni hui shuo Zhongwen ma? Our beginning level
Chinese course introduces students to the basic
concepts of the language while focusing on
Chinese
as a part of everyday life. Topics include
common greetings, asking for and giving personal
information, basic vocabulary for travelers,
colors and numbers, and the fundamentals of
pronunciation. A dozen basic characters will be
taught during the course. This class
meets for eight weeks for 90 minutes per class.

Conversational Chinese II |
|
This course is a continuation of Conversational
Chinese I or an entry level class for students
who have previously studied Chinese. In this
course the basics of Chinese grammar are
introduced, but most emphasis is placed on
listening comprehension and vocabulary building.
Students gain greater confidence in using
Chinese in everyday situations.

Chinese
for Travelers |
|
Make the most of your next trip to China, Taiwan
or Hong Kong! This
fun and entertaining four-week course gives you basic
Chinese
phrase without any grammar or character
memorization. You’ll learn basic
greetings, numbers, how to ask for directions,
answer basic questions, and, of course, order in
a restaurant or bar! The final class is held at
an authentic Chinese restaurant to give you more
practice ordering.

Intermediate Chinese |
|
你會說中文嗎?
If
you have a basic knowledge of Chinese grammar,
but need to brush up on your skills and want to
break out of basic Chinese, then our
intermediate level course is for you! This class
builds on the basics of Chinese grammar, while
introducing the student to more complex forms
and working on proper tones. Students enrolled
in this course also improve their conversational
skills.

Intensive Weekend |
|
Learn the Chinese basics with 8 hours of
instruction, including lunch. Our approach is
conversational in nature, with grammar
reinforced through continuous conversation and
application. Various multimedia sources are used
to reinforce retention of vocabulary and
grammar. The goal is to surround you in Chinese
to the greatest degree possible.
