Conversational Italian I

Parla italiano? Our beginning level Italian course introduces students to the basic concepts of the language while focusing on Italian as a part of everyday life. Topics include common greetings, asking for and giving personal information, basic vocabulary for travelers, colors and numbers, and the fundamentals of pronunciation. Students will learn to hold a basic conversation after this course on the topics that were covered in class. This class meets for eight weeks for 90 minutes per class.

Conversational Italian II

This course is a continuation of Conversational Italian I or an entry level class for students who have previously studied Italian. In this course the basics of Italian grammar are introduced, but most emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and vocabulary building. Students gain greater confidence in using Italian in everyday situations.

Intensive Conversational Italian I

Do you need to learn basic Italian as quickly as possible? Just like our Conversational Italian I class, this course will prepare you for basic conversation while also introducing aspects of Italian life and culture. Topics include greetings, vocabulary for travelers, numbers and much more. However, this course meets twice a week for 90 minutes each class. By meeting twice per week, this class finishes in less than half the time of our regular conversational class.

Intensive Conversational Italian II

Designed for students who already know the basics and want to improve their Italian quickly, this class provides the same advancement as Conversational Italian II in only three weeks. Enroll in Intensive Conversational Italian I & Intensive Conversational Italian II in the same session to cover two levels in just eight weeks!

Italian for Travelers

Make the most of your next trip to Italy! This fun four-week course gives you basic Italian phrase without the grammar. You’ll learn basic greetings, numbers, how to ask for directions, answer basic questions, and, of course, order in a restaurant or bar! The final class is held at an authentic Italian restaurant to give you more practice ordering.

Intermediate Italian

If you have a basic knowledge of Italian grammar, but need to brush up on your skills and want to break out of basic Italian, then our intermediate level course is for you! This class builds on the basics of Italian grammar, including all verb tenses, the basics of the Italian subjunctive and object pronouns. Students enrolled in this course improve their conversational skills while learning proper Italian grammar.

Advanced Italian Conversation

Just looking to keep your Italian skills sharp? If you have studied Italian for sometime and already have a good grasp of grammar and a strong vocabulary, this class is for you. Students in our Advanced Conversation class improve their speaking and listening skills through an entirely conversation-based program with a native instructor, while discussing current events and culture in the Italian-speaking world.

Intensive Weekend

Learn the Italian basics with 8 hours of instruction, including lunch. Our approach is conversational in nature, with grammar reinforced through continuous conversation and application. Various multimedia sources are used to reinforce retention of vocabulary and grammar. The goal is to surround you in Italian to the greatest degree possible.
