Conversational Russian I

Вы говорите по-русски? Our beginning level Russian course introduces students to the basic concepts of the language while focusing on Russian as a part of everyday life. Topics include common greetings, asking for and giving personal information, basic vocabulary for travelers, colors and numbers, and the fundamentals of pronunciation. Students will learn to hold a basic conversation after this course on the topics that were covered in class. This class meets for eight weeks for 90 minutes per class.

Conversational Russian II

This course is a continuation of Conversational Russian I or an entry level class for students who have previously studied Russian. In this course the basics of Russian grammar are introduced, but most emphasis is placed on listening comprehension and vocabulary building. Students gain greater confidence in using Russian in everyday situations.

Intensive Conversational Russian I

Do you need to learn basic Russian as quickly as possible? Just like our Conversational Russian I class, this course will prepare you for basic conversation while also introducing aspects of Russian life and culture. Topics include greetings, vocabulary for travelers, numbers and much more. However, this course meets twice a week for 90 minutes each class. By meeting twice per week, this class finishes in less than half the time of our regular conversational class.

Intensive Conversational Russian II

Designed for students who already know the basics and want to improve their Russian quickly, this class provides the same advancement as Conversational Russian II in only three weeks. Enroll in Intensive Conversational Russian I & Intensive Conversational Russian II in the same session to cover two levels in just eight weeks!

Russian for Travelers

Make the most of your next trip to Russian, Austria or Switzerland! This fun four-week course gives you basic Russian phrase without the grammar. You’ll learn basic greetings, numbers, how to ask for directions, answer basic questions, and, of course, order in a restaurant or bar!

Intermediate Russian

If you have a basic knowledge of Chinese grammar, but need to brush up on your skills and want to break out of basic Chinese, then our intermediate level course is for you! This class builds on the basics of Chinese grammar, while introducing the student to more complex forms and working on proper tones. Students enrolled in this course also improve their conversational skills. This course is only offered on a demand basis.

Advanced Russian Conversation

Just looking to keep your Russian skills sharp? If you have studied Russian for sometime and already have a good grasp of grammar and a strong vocabulary, this class is for you. Students in our Advanced Conversation class improve their speaking and listening skills through an entirely conversation-based program with a native instructor, while discussing current events and culture in the Russian-speaking world. This course is only offered on a demand basis.

Intensive Weekend

Learn the Russian basics with 8 hours of instruction, including lunch. Our approach is conversational in nature, with grammar reinforced through continuous conversation and application. Various multimedia sources are used to reinforce retention of vocabulary and grammar. The goal is to surround you in Russian to the greatest degree possible.
